Caporn Hardship Grant Scheme

Surbiton Rotary Club are offering a limited number of small grants to help disadvantaged children and young adults in the KT5, KT6 and KT9 postcode areas who are suffering hardship – particularly in the wake of the COVID epidemic.

Grants are given to purchase essential items for a child / young adult to help with their education or well-being. Examples of essential items are laptop computers / tablets, school uniforms, sports equipment or anything else that may lessen their hardship.

Notes to Applicants

Applications must be made on the official form and can only come from a school or community organisation. The form must be signed by an official of the school / organisation and the parent / guardian of the individual.

We will aim to process applications in a timely manner and will let applicants know whether or not they have been successful.

 

When an application has been approved the money will be sent to the account of the school / organisation by BACS or if required by cheque. To ensure that the money is spent on the item required the school / organisation will be responsible for purchasing the item concerned -  money should not be passed to the family concerned.

 

Successful applicants will  be responsible for completing the feedback form in due course.
